There will be no return to ‘normal’
- jleyank 5y agoPerhaps countries remain “lord of the flies” until there is an external threat that forces people to cut the crap and work together. COVID obviously was not fatal enough to be such a threat. Given the last two years, I would really prefer to avoid seeing a virus that provides such a threat. I also think that future historians or sociologists will write about the ability of social media to act as an amplifier, as well as people’s susceptibility to it.
