I guess I just don't understand. Your title seems as though you want to learn how to get your app in the "Featured Apps" but then your post doesn't mention that at all and instead you seem to ask "how to implement a better plan for "viral" and cheap marketing". Sorry - I'm not sure what to answer. Personally I'm not interested in answering a "better plan for viral and cheap marketing" as that's been asked/answered 100x in the past six months here (use the search).
