Quasi-religious fixation on CO² is unhelpful. What about biodiversity? What about fresh water preservation, preserving topsoil and preventing mudslides, regional climate, local and global precipitation patterns, etc.? Forests aren't just about CO² and looking only at this one aspect is detrimental to the cause.
