This review hinges around not knowing Carlin's argument in his book and implies this is because Carlin has a poorly thought out thesis.
This misses the point of the book which is just discussing the events, the times, and the human-ness of it all. Carlin doesn't state a view on the great-mensch theory because he doesn't have one and isn't arguing one.
In other words:
