- techdragon 5y agoReminds me of a weird kids toy from the 90s before electronics made this sort of analog trickery less cost effective, that was meant to make weird sci fi sounds like that by having a slinky like spring inside a tube. Wish I could find a decent picture or tear down but trying to remember borderline throwaway cost county fair toy names is hard enough two decades on, and on top of that the names were never “brand names” just decals slapped onto a cardboard tube, so it was whatever they tried to sell it as, I remember a lot of cash in not a “lightsaber” type naming towards the end of the 90s after the Star Wars prequels started hitting the cinemas.
