Yeah, also MoE models like Wu Dao 2.0 that if combined with work at FB with hypothesis generation (causality testing) and Codex can give some interesing applications like autowriting programs to specification.
There were also some progress with geometric deep learining which kinda unifies architectures AFAIK.
