Any code that controls money needs to be super solid, but I wonder if Chia's smart contracts[1] would help? Their VM is functional and doesn't have stateful side effects like Solidity/EVM. The Chia team claims this is more secure/efficient/auditable than arbitrary Solidity code because state changes are often the hardest things to reason about in programs.
