Patent Toxicity
- 1cvmask 5y agoThe title mislead me or I failed to understand it. They are studying patents of products that include toxic elements/compounds/materials.
- olliej 5y agoThis was 100% not what I expected but still super interesting
- mensetmanusman 5y agoI wonder how they would consider software patents, which assume the existence of computers, which have the most toxic supply chain known in human history. Does software get a free pass?
- sigmaprimus 5y agoIt might be a bit of a stretch but recently I was doing a large amount of 3D FDM printing using PLA. The lowest layer tends to be razor sharp on its edges due to being squished a bit more and those edges were creating micro cuts on my fingers...long story short I found my joints began aching almost like arthritis, a few days after I stopped printing the pain went away. Has anyone else experienced this? If so wouldn't this also be cobsidered relevant to this patent toxicity research? I would expect many other materials used for FDM would also have these sharp edges and be even more toxic.
