Low oxygen levels along Pacific Northwest coast a ‘silent’ climate change crisis
- aaron695 5y agoIt's a bit like Medical Student Syndrome, we are in depth studying parts of the eco-system, so everything is panic. We've seen the same panic around Covid. You go to hospital with any disease you will have a long recovery, in 2020 it's being spelled out so suddenly it matters, which probably it always should have. But you also get Long Covid a mass hysteria breaking out. Mental illness also need to be treated, it's another thing we've badly handled. I guess the mass hysteria around climate change also needs be treated. Short of putting lead back in gas it's hard to see how. > Nearly two decades ago, fishers discovered an odd occurrence off the coast of Oregon. That's not enough time to understand this. El Niño is up to 7 year cycles for instance. Weather and oceans are long cycles. It's good we are learning though. I do wonder why they don't think it's from humans, fertiliser and sewerage, like we know about hundreds of other dead zones sites and growing. These other sites don't matter because they can't be linked to climate change and are solvable, the Industrial Environmental complex don't want solvable problems, they lose control. Often their trick it to turn solvable problems back to climate change, but this seems natural.
