Why don't more companies offer equity as an incentive to early adopters?
I was just reading about Marc Lore's new planned city Telosa (which is a fascinating take on Georgism) and was thinking about Jet and how they gave away stock to early adopters. Why hasn't this become more popular? https://www.thestreet.com/investing/jet-com-crowdfunding-model-just-turned-referrers-into-millionaires-13670053
- anamax 5y agoJet didn't offer stock to early adopters. It offered stock to folks who referred customers, who produced signups. The difference between that and telling a consultant "we'll pay you with stock in return for {performance}" is that Jet opened the process to anyone. However, the folks who wanted stock still had to deliver.
