A good sign that you're improving is writing for something better than defector.com I had no idea it existed until it happened to cross my path on social media, mimicking the behavior of the staff of another second rate magazine recently. I don't know that twice is a trend, but there sure is a tendency in at least two places for people to make petty social media bickering with other (more successful) media personalities their schtick. I understand that may be a path to notoriety in academia, but it seems no one told these people that it isn't gonna sell subscriptions.
