No longer open source: https://github.com/christianselig/Amplosion https://github.com/christianselig/Amplosion
- WatchDog 5y agoWhat was it licensed under originally?
- CtrlAlt 5y agoIt was “No License” if I remember correctly.
- herpderperator 5y agohttps://web.archive.org/web/20210921004457/https://github.com/christianselig/Amplosion https://web.archive.org/web/20210921004457/https://github.co... Seems GitHub garbage-collected the orphaned commits: https://github.com/christianselig/Amplosion/commit/08873c77320de5931bed47671873d10dc9a88dd6 https://github.com/christianselig/Amplosion/commit/08873c773... I thought those lingered for longer.
- gruez 5y agoHe probably deleted the repo and recreated it. It's still available at https://github.com/mdpauley/Amplosion https://github.com/mdpauley/Amplosion though. Based on the SHA1 hash, it's the same one as from the original repo https://web.archive.org/web/20210921004457/https://github.com/christianselig/Amplosion https://web.archive.org/web/20210921004457/https://github.co..., minus some docs/readme commits.
- nicolas_ 5y agoIt's still available on GitHub though as someone forked it before Christian removed everything.
- jachee 5y agoOnly because opportunists abused the open source to make a quick buck. A shame we can't have nice things like that without lowlife “lamprey capitalists” ruining them for the rest of us.
- sxg 5y agoImportant to include that people were copying his code and reselling the same app under a different name for a lower price.
- 3np 5y agoQuestionable if it was ever really open source, more like "source available" Most recent public fork I found is now mirrored here: https://github.com/3nprob/Amplosion https://github.com/3nprob/Amplosion > Safari extensions require your permission to run, so in the interest of transparency I wanted to make the app completely open source. [...] > License: This is open source in the interest of transparency, and I hope this doesn't need to be said but please don't take this as an opportunity to reupload the code and call it your own. This is the equivalent to the GitHub "No License", so you're more than welcome to inspect the code and audit it, but you do not have permission to repurpose it as your own.
