I don't claim to be an expert, but I guess that a dramatically better sound bite is "Investment fuels growth" I think it's reasonable (say for conservatives) to favor capital gains taxes that favor long-term investment, which I believe is the form of investment which most fuels economic growth. While we're at it, let's favor investment in intangible assets and in sustainable technology
