10,000,000 300ms invocations with 1gb of memory is under 30 dollars. That's dirt cheap, over a month of CPU time that you can burst to tens of thousands of concurrent executions without caring. Not saying AWS doesn't come with a premium, but lambda isn't exactly the poster-child for expensive compute.
