The alternative to debate is usually emotional manipulation such as rhetoric, advertisements, emotional art, memes, etc.
That has done most of the work in shaping people's opinions historically and even now. Force is also used, of course, but it costs more to employ.
- dagw 5y agoThe alternative to debate is usually emotional manipulation 90% of all debate is emotional manipulation. You don't have to prove that you're right or what you say is true to win, just make the audience feel and believe that what you're saying is true.
