Anybody interested in Tartessos should really read the time travel/alternate history Nantucket series novels by S.M Stirling. Don't want to spoil the plot details but in very basic terms, this tiny forgotten kingdom of the late bronze age turns into something entirely more powerful through the pure chance of one of its eventual leaders having contact with people from the late 20th century and stealing certain knowledge from them. Fascinating series of novels.
