Linux Cookbook, 2nd Edition PDF
- gnat 5y agoI don't see anything in the colophon about this being CC-licensed or similarly freely-available. (The Permissions in the Introduction strongly suggests it is not) As someone who wrote the first of these Cookbooks ("Perl Cookbook"), I know what a massive effort a good one represents. And, unlike Hollywood shows or Dan Brown books, the audience for a good technical book is modest (single digit thousands is good, double digit thousands a great seller now). The readers of this group are a non-trivial percentage of likely purchasers. If you saw this post and thought "cool!", please go buy a copy and give Carla a chance of making something back on her massive effort.
