This is a very sweet way of coping with death. I think all of these other comments are focussing on the aspects of "upsetting the bees" (which I think is a red herring) and not seeing the therapeutic effects of a ritual. Saying things out loud helps bring closure. This is people dealing with sadness. "Little bee, our lord is dead; Leave me not in my distress."
