5G home internet: Your broadband options
- janandonly 5y agoI've personally seen and heard people use 4G/5G routers [1] as a home router instead of using coax-cable or xDSL alternatives. Where my parents live they can get a 4MBit down 0.3MBit up ADSL. At my insistence they picked a 4G router with a “unlimited” [2] data plan instead and are very happy users for some years now. Even on Zoom or FaceTime calls there is no noticeable lag. [1] I think they have the Huawei B618. https://www.4gltemall.com/blog/tag/huawei-b618-specs/ https://www.4gltemall.com/blog/tag/huawei-b618-specs/ [2] the data plan is really a 100GB bundle per month, but they will never reach that limit. https://www.consumentenbond.nl/internet/t-mobile-unlimited-4g-voor-thuis https://www.consumentenbond.nl/internet/t-mobile-unlimited-4...
