fail2ban is surely not obscure, see for instance https://qa.debian.org/popcon.php?package=fail2ban https://qa.debian.org/popcon.php?package=fail2ban It's not like this is a top100 package, but I reckon it's fairly popular on servers. I'm sure Debian will have a fix for this quickly.
