My timely steps away from my desk have been VR boxing, table tennis, and mini golf. There's no better way to destress after a meeting than 3 rounds and a knockout. I think it taps deep into the limbic system and evaporates stress through a full activation then resolution of the fight or flight response.
- nbzso 5y agoThis is a completely different use case (in my view).:) I have a long daily work sessions, interruptions (brakes) are part of the flow. To remove something from my head 3-4 times per hour obviously is a lot slower than simply to stand up and go. This is your way to evaporate stress, everyone has individual choices in this regard. Mine include going outside, walking, running, some exercise, shoot photography, drive to a near village, etc. I spend enough time in-front of a set of displays. And since early 2000s my choice is always towards high-quality displays as Eizo or Nec. The newer models have eco-friendly mode which adjust automatically the brightness with accordance to ambient light. Thats why my preference for the work of future is towards holographic displays or projectors. It is more natural.
