I like that they're called ceremonies because it highlights just how ridiculous and pompous this cargo culting has become. To me a ceremony means mostly pointless tradition that is way overdressed. Our team can put all that stuff in a box and say "we avoid ceremony", and the kind of people that we want to work with will appreciate that and want to work with us.
