Rinse and repeat a few times and you will have a decent data set that you can then cohort out and show targeted ads to on other ad networks. running tens of thousands of these campaigns will net you a lot of very useful data. since you are paying the platform to promote things, they don't care, its still revenue to them. the folks behind some of these things seem to be doing pretty well at it too, at least, their social profiles show a very lux life.
