Ask HN: Hosted solutions to run a personal blog?
I am currently doing some research on the topic of personal sites, and more specifically blog-like personal sites.
This is because I'm planning to write a series of posts to encourage people to ditch traditional social media and move back to a more "sane" way to share content online through personal sites.
I am currently looking into hosted solutions, things like micro.blog or write.as
I'm trying to collect as many references as I can and I was wondering if you have suggestions for services I should look into.
Thanks

- netripper 5y agoIf you’re including self-hosted options, you can reference the blogging platforms section of the awesome-selfhosted repository [1]. [1]: <https://github.com/awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted#blogging-platforms https://github.com/awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted#blo...>
- manuelmoreale 5y agoI do plan to also include self hosted options but I was trying to first see what's available as a hosted solution for the less tech savvy people. But I appreciate the link, very helpful.
- XCSme 5y agoIf you want something really basic, I created a tiny PHP blog that simply renders your Markdown files: https://github.com/Cristy94/markdown-blog https://github.com/Cristy94/markdown-blog
