Germany votes: Big gains for center-left parties, heavy losses for conservatives
- gigatexal 5y agoThe AfD at 10.4% number irks me.
- llampx 5y agoCan someone explain to me what would change in the GroKo, aside from Scholz becoming Chancellor? Also, good to know about Scholz: He introduced a finance transaction tax on stocks, which was supposed to prevent speculation and high-frequency trading but in the final drafts, quietly removed companies from being subject to the tax, so only private citizens would have to pay it. Luckily it was rejected on the EU level. My guess is that he will try to push it through again now that he'll become Chancellor.
