Forced technology transfers, legal barriers keeping foreign companies from the Chinese market, state assistance (including hacking) to help their companies dominate the global market in strategic areas, had all been going on long before Trump. So how can the media possibly keep repeating the absurd claim that the trade war started only in 2018??
