The supply-chain mystery
- h2odragon 5y ago"Labor shortage" sounds great and yet there's no shortage of outfits imposing new restrictions on who can be hired or keep their jobs; and no shortage of stories of people who applied and were turned down because they were overqualified, or unable to work "we'll tell you your hours the day before" shifts, or "Sundays off won't work" ... or any number of other employer defined reasons. I like Matt Stoller's argument that consolidation and the resultant elimination of redundancies and slack is in large part to blame for the shortages. All the slack got sucked out to invest in Bitcoin and NFTs.
