You only need to read the linked Twitter thread to get a couple examples.
- woodruffw 5y agoI read the thread, and it sounds like these libraries end up in what I think of (from other ecosystems) as “core” tooling: package managers, linters, &c. I definitely wasn’t expecting that: most of the other ecosystems I’ve interacted with have had a “vendor or reimplement” mentality when it comes to dependencies in common tooling.
