I totally agree about DMCA and internet-copyright, and the analogy to patents here. That said, IDK if AI-invented patents really pose a challenge. It might be a philosophical challenge to the idea of patents, but that doesn't necessarily translate into a challenge in practice. IMO logically, if machines cannot be inventors than anything invented by machine is arguably trivial. However, I don't think this kind of reasoning translates to a legible legal argument.
