As others have said, he is specifically trying to get an AI recognized as an Inventor instead of a human (where that is required). The invention does not seem to be important to him at all. He is filling similar cases all around the the globe and is (mostly) loosing. It remains unclear whether his motivation is financial or ideological or something different all together.
