If and when these become common, while there will be instances where such devices and detection is helpful and life saving, I'm wondering if for the larger population it will only lead to increased hypochondria. Only time will tell I guess..
- CharlesW 5y agoAt least one study has discovered that for some hypochondriacs, seeing previously-hidden health data can increase health anxiety. I personally find it reassuring and helpful in improving behaviors.
