Never too late to start. I have lots of books that I've collected over the years, but I've had several portions of the collection "dispersed involuntarily" for various reasons. :D To be surrounded by books of your own choosing is nice. It doesn't have to be a lot though. Just having a stack of nice books near your bed that you like or believe you will like is usually enough. I am a firm believer in tsundoku.
