This is a sensible riposte only if it takes you a hundred years to get to the grocery store.
- ekianjo 5y agoYou typically live longer with your savings than 10 minutes to the grocery store. In other words, I could not care less if I lose 10% on a typical day in terms of value, but I care a lot more losing 50% (or more!) of the value of my savings over the span of my working life.
