Of course, Trudeau bowed down to the CCP and wasn't able to secure their release. Meanwhile Meng lived in one of the several mansions she owns in Canada.
Seems only the previous administration had any kind of strategy on China.

- redis_mlc 5y agoTrump once said, "I'm the only one who can fix this." He was correct, in that he wasn't beholden to the CCP, unlike a surprisingly large number of politicians and media outlets. For example, besides the Biden family, it's been reported that the White House chief of staff is a "former" CCP lobbyist. CCP leaders brag in public about how Wall Street is in their pocket. (A CCP member was in charge of CALPERS investments until recently. When discovered, he just up and left.)
