So I'm guessing this isn't an "everyone" problem, but more of a "most people" problem. So maybe the question to ask would be "What makes turns people into truth-seekers vs. agreement-seekers?" * Edit to clarify: the mentality of seeking "social truth" rather than objective truth, and ignoring or denying evidence in favour of group policy.
