Why Europe's energy prices are soaring and could get much worse
- goatsneez 5y agoWonderful, one of many specimen of articles that hit the internet aether within past two weeks of how the ideological filters can lead even honest people to bastardise numbers/facts into utterly ridiculous interpretations. The entire "outcry" here is basically about how the "planners/policy-makers did not see things" and/or "did not expect" conditions or convergence of conditions outside of their infantile-simplistic models of reality (economic-societal-technology-ability, etc.) And it is not as this was not predicted to be bound to happen, it has been pointed out countlessly ad nausea by real thinkers (as opposed to semi-educated psychopatic politicians (E. Whyte)) To put crown to it, at the end of the article the same unscrutinized ideological models of how things ought to be (of cause put into the moral plane for a good measure) according to the 'intellectual elites' (sic. Th. Sowell) are proposed as the solution. Of cause, treating the populace as children by not framing this at least as a trade-off. The adolescent unexamined arrogance of the EU establishment leaves much to be desired as this summary unintentionally but clearly elucidates. (Yes, lets put a cap to prices for private consumers... oh when was the last time that was a great idea). https://twitter.com/thomassowell/status/1292818758071914496?lang=en https://twitter.com/thomassowell/status/1292818758071914496?...
