Asparagus grows reasonably well here once it gets established, and there’s a sense to which I could imagine a big planting if I had more land, but the yield is low for the area requirement. I dug the crowns and moved them to the backyard. They suffer when moved but we saw them coming up this year and they still taste yummy. I’m not we’ll versed in Ayurveda, but we’re learning about herbs and traditional medicine. Ginger, St John’s Wort, echinacea and things like that are very interesting and healing.
