I loved commenting on ads. What a shit show that was. They were smart to remove the feature, but I do miss it.

- fridif 5y agoMe too, the Velveeta comments were the best
- ohashi 5y agoI am pretty sure I still get comments on my ads. It's almost entirely spam and those comments you think are probably spam it's just a 'good job' response.
- heavyset_go 5y agoDon't worry, Twitter allows commenting on ads.
- dunnevens 5y agoFB allows commenting on ads. This does not go well for certain types of advertisers. Political and religious ads especially. Even the bland corporate advertisers have to spend some time cleaning up the inevitable mess. What's especially puzzling is that FB allows image uploads as an ad response unless the advertiser was smart enough to disable it.
- r00fus 5y agoWell, you could call this "engagement", at least people are clicking and investigating. Also it appears Twitter does it as well - so many promoted tweets are just roasted in the replies.
- jfoutz 5y agoI'm still confused by google's "Chromebook Megathread" ads. with comments disabled. It's vexing.
