- jagger27 5y agoThat is somewhat of a good point about testing, but I’m not 100% convinced. The PCB itself should have already been tested at the factory, which should be sufficient for someone like me who’s ordering it without switches. The purpose of testing the switches how they’re doing it is to ensure that the pins weren’t bent upon insertion and the switches themselves. Neither of those things apply in my case. Other companies sell plenty of DIY hot swap board kits without switches pre installed, so they must have a reliable and cheap way of testing the hot swap sockets themselves (something the PCB factory may or may not do, not sure).
