The way the US implements fuel economy rules are stupid. For example, a diesel motorcycle that gets 100 miles per gallon wouldn't meet standards. Our fuel economy laws are the primary reason people have been moved from fuel efficient cars to much less efficient SUVs. It's very, very stupid.
