I use Linux for all my server environments, but it just cannot compare to MacOS for Desktop use. The app ecosystem is severely lacking. Linux doesn't even have a decent modern email app. The best option there is Thunderbird, which is quite good but not really on-par with the offerings on Mac. Apps like Sparrow, Mimestream, Spark etc have no Linux equivalent. Mimestream is my choice due to its deep Gmail integration. And this is just email.
