Google One, and Google Workspaces both offer paid support plans that cover Google Drive.
- tantalor 5y agohttps://one.google.com/about https://one.google.com/about $2/mo or $20/yr
- jazzyjackson 5y agodo you still have access to support if your account is locked?
- whymauri 5y agoGoogle workspaces requires you to attach a non-workspaces-related account. Unless they both go down, you can still contact them. Worst case, I believe Workspaces requires a phone number now -- at least Google can't wipe that!
- Miraste 5y agoUnless you have Google Fi!
- datguacdoh 5y agohaven't had to deal with it, but I would assume it works since you can call them. you don't have to be logged in to request support. https://support.google.com/googleone/answer/9177339 https://support.google.com/googleone/answer/9177339
- lucasverra 5y agoI pay for Google one since approx 24 months and have had surprisingly decent phone support with less than 3 clicks. PS: I tend to avoid google services, but google workplace is too damn superior
- jhart99 5y agoThis has also been my experience. Google One will get you to the right person to get things fixed. I had a billing issue that they were able to resolve in under 24 hours. But I could see the problem if your account gets banned that has the Google One on it... Would be hard to submit a request when you can't log in.
- lucasverra 5y agoIm that case just put one service on another account for a couple of bucks. “Google is robbing me of my money by banning my access to the account im paying for” should give quick responses
- Cipater 5y agoI was pleasantly surprised to have a billing issue with Google One resolved in less than 30 mins. All done entirely through a text chat.
- spicybright 5y agoI highly doubt getting locked out of your google drive still allows you to download backups from google backup services...
- foxpurple 5y agoWhich is why I download the Takeout backup monthly.
- FateOfNations 5y agoOooh... looks like they now have an option on Takeout to automatically do an export every two months, and send it to a third-party provider (your choice of Box, Dropbox, or OneDrive).
- jacquesm 5y agoGood luck trying to use it.
- spicybright 5y agoWhat do you mean? They make great XML readers now a days! /s
- himinlomax 5y agoThey have to provide it by law under GDPR and other directives in the EU.
- megous 5y agoThey can also just delete the data. That would solve it too. (for them)
- himinlomax 5y agoNo, because that would be contrary to data portability requirements. Deleting the data would only be appropriate for PII
