If you are a tech company and want to retain your workers I think there are two things you can do: 1) Make sure you are paying your workers close to what they could get just by switching to the same role at a different company. 2) Make sure that you offer permanent remote roles. Just from my anecdotal experience in tech, most of the people who have left companies recently have left for one of these two reasons: either they were getting a big bump in compensation, or else the old company did not allow permanent remote work.
