Not trying to be snarky, serious question: How does a design that requires everyone to purchase at least one type C module reduce e-waste? It adds manufacturing overhead, shipping overhead, etc to every laptop. It only reduces waste if mainboard/laptops are discarded due to a failed charging port. Does that happen often with type C connections on mainboards?
