It'd be nice if there were some way to filter out job listings where some heavyweight development methodology was in effect. Some make it obvious in the description text, dropping SCRUM/Agile-related buzzwords. Others sounded awesome, promising an enlightened developer-centric focus and autonomy. Then I've shown up to find I'll be a mechanistic story point generator, wasting everyone's time. This is an area I've had to exercise acceptance on. Even if SCRUM dies, the selling points for it (control, measurement, and interchangeability) are too powerful such that something else won't come in and replace it. However, I would like to know a team thinks that way, so we can steer clear of each other.
