The difference with blockchains is (depending on how it is set up) that illegal content can't be removed, as it is needed to validate the blockchain (it might be OK in this case). While I don't think it's yet come up in court, if I was on a jury where someone's defense for keeping and distributing illegal material was "we need it so we can verify our blockchain", I wouldn't accept that argument.
