Lawsuit by definition means a case brought by a common person and not legal authority. So it will be a civil case.
- nulbyte 5y agoLawsuit refers to civil cases, but legal authorities can and do file lawsuits. For example, the DOJ just recently filed a lawsuit to block the American Airlines-JetBlue merger.
- IncRnd 5y agoThat is not the definition of a lawsuit. A lawsuit can be brought by a person or entity against a person or entity.
