This surprised me a little. Was drinking and driving so much more prevalent in the past?
- olivierduval 5y agoWell, "half a bottle" was then considered just "normal" (one for lunch, one for dinner), like if you drank a soda. After all, it was "just wine" and everybody was supposed to still be "sober" and able to drive... Troubles started after a bottle of wine ;-)
- FDSGSG 5y agoIt's still the norm in much of Europe, I wouldn't be surprised if half of Europeans would consider it OK to drive home after half a bottle of wine.
