How are people working within Red Hat? Are kernel patches and systemd features developed using agile concepts such as user stories, story points, retrospectives and sprint planning? Or is it more a group of hackers scratching itches?
- stncls 5y agoI'm really curious about this. I can imagine very "managed" methodologies being attractive for gigantic teams working on an enterprise client project where the complexity stems from the endless stream of feature requests. I have trouble imagining how it helps a team working on, say, a kernel, a compiler, network infra, a browser, scientific code, or a HPC project (because it seems to me that complexity there comes more often from raw algorithmic difficulty). But maybe it does help. Stories from anyone with such first-hand experience would be great!
