- legerdemain 5y agoI just left a data role working with a 20-year veteran of the field. The experience matched my expectations going in: unrewarding, demotivating, kind of menial. I'm not looking back, and feel kind of baffled by friends taking on similar roles.
- Grimm1 5y agoSounds like they/you worked in bad roles tbh. The field is incredibly varied. You’ll find just as menial regular SWE roles too
